Our Story

At Maya Cafe Lounge and Gallery, we believe that art has the power to heal, connect, and inspire. Our story begins in Venezuela, where four generations of our family were born and raised, each leaving their own unique mark on the world of creativity. From painters and sculptors to musicians and writers, art has always been the heartbeat of our family. It’s more than just what we do; it’s who we are.

Throughout the years, artistic expression has carried us through countless challenges. It’s been our source of strength, our means of communication, and our way to connect with the world. The COVID-19 pandemic was one of the toughest moments we faced, but it also served as a catalyst for something beautiful. In the midst of uncertainty, we realized that we wanted to bring more of what had always been a part of our lives—art—into the world around us.

So, we decided to open Maya Cafe Lounge and Gallery, right here in Winter Park. We envisioned a place where not just food and drinks, but love, warmth, and artistic expression could fill every corner. With eclectic decor and artwork from multiple generations of our family, Maya is more than a cafe—it’s a living, breathing celebration of creativity. Each piece of art tells a story, each dish is made with care, and each interaction is infused with the love that has been passed down through generations.
